We have been learning about celebrations. One celebration in New Zealand is Waitangi Day. It is the day the Treaty of Waitangi was signed. I made a google drawing to show what I learnt

Jorja town

Welcome to Jorja town

You will find our hospital and a playground at the north east side of town.  At  the west  side of my town  there is a  forest.  Across the  road   from the forest  is my home. Across  the road from my home  is the lake. Across the road  from the lake is the train station. Across  the road  from the church is south the school.

Gymnastics

I have learnt how to do a motorbike landing. First you land on your toes, then you land on your heels and bend your legs and put your arms in front of your body.

I have learnt how you do a forward roll. You put your chin on chest and put your hands on the ground and lean forward and roll over and stand up.

My dog Matey is an American Staffy crossed with an American Bulldog. Matey is white with little spots and he has floppy ears. Matey is 10 weeks old and he likes to wag his tail. Matey likes to sleep a lot and likes to chew on his bone to make his teeth clean. He also likes to eat meat and he likes to make friends. Matey lives at my place and sleeps on my bed.

First aid with Michelle

Michelle is Mrs Lairds friend. She is paramedic. Michelle talked to us about first aid. I learnt to ring 111 only in an emergency.  You need to wear gloves to protect yourself from germs. If someone is unconscious shake them, talk to them and if they don't wake up call an ambulance.

Our new penguin Emp

Yesterday after lunch Makayla bought in our  new penguin. When Makayla bought the penguin in it didn't have a name. Room 9 had a vote.  The name of the penguin is called Emp. He is so fluffy. Emp even squeaks. Emp is a huge penguin.

                               

Scarves

Emma gave us our scarves.  We were pretending to get married. Everyone in He Puna Whawha was giggling. We needed to scrunch the scarves. We needed to scrunch the scarves with 2 hands. Then we needed to scrunch the scarves with 1 hand. Then we put the scarves away. I can`t  wait to do it again next time.

My rhino story

We have been using animal pictures for writing motivation. I wrote about Rhino's at a waterhole.

One night Cruz was asleep and I woke him up because I was thirsty. We went to the waterhole I saw a cameraman. He took a photo of us and me and Cruz charged at the cameraman. He ran away screaming. It was hysterical. Then I got a drink from the water hole but I slipped into the water hole it was freezing. Cruz helped me up with his horn. Then I went home to look at the glittering and sparkling stars.

Free Writing - Ice Cream World

This is a story from my free writing book.

If my house was made out of ice cream me and my brother would eat it all up. If the wold was made out of ice cream I would eat the whole world up. If the sun was made out of ice cream I would fly to the sun and eat it up too.
